What is Search Engine Optimisation?
moz.com defines search engine optimisation (SEO) as 'the practice of increasing the quantity and quality of traffic to your website through organic search engine results.'
There may be over 200 factors involved in how well a business ranks in Google search, but here are some of the biggies:
1. The quality and quantity of links to the site.
2. The quality and relevance of the site's content.
3. How long visitors are spending on the site.
4. Whether or not the site is mobile-friendly.
5. How quickly site pages load.
6. The number of click-throughs to the website from Google search results.
Get these right and you're well on your way...
Mentoring can help businesses in so many ways…
As a professional sales, marketing, digital marketing, and social media mentor, coach, trainer, and consultant, I have delivered 1000s of hours of mentoring and training to 100s of starts-ups, people thinking about starting their own business, people who have been made redundant or were facing redundancy, people living and working in both urban and isolated rural environments, micro-businesses and SMEs.
Sometimes, this work is directly commissioned by the client. Most times it’s awarded by local enterprise offices and agencies, councils, or their appointed contract management companies.
Over the last number of years, I’ve been privileged to be part of well over 30 funded mentoring programmes across the island of Ireland.
I also work with a number of local enterprise agencies on an external/sub-contract basis to produce business plans under Invest NI’s Regional Start Initiative.
I’m also an Enterprise Northern Ireland Quality Assured Advisor/Trainer.
If you’re a local council, enterprise agency or programme manager who needs a highly experienced mentor who understands the rigours of value for money, reporting and accountability, I can help with that, too.
Here are just some examples of feedback on my mentoring work…
